“BCIT Refrigeration Plant Operator program provides essential knowledge of safety, legislation, refrigeration principles, systems, equipment and operation; applied electricity; maintenance and problem solving.”
POWR 1210
“BCIT 5th Class Power Engineering program provides theoretical training in basic design of heating boilers; fuels and combustion; boiler fittings, controls, operation and maintenance; feedwater treatment; pumps, valves and piping; environmental comfort, heating systems; electricity; plumbing; safety; air compression; basic design of power boilers. Students will also gain an understanding of the construction, safe operation and minor repairs of commercial buildings and light industrial heating plant equipment as it pertains to the operating scope of a 5th Class Power Engineer.”
